I’m so excited to facilitate and participate in Policy Link’s 20206 summit, WE ARE THE FOUNDERS: Writing the Unfinished Story of Our Democracy.

The story of our nation’s democracy remains unfinished.
Two hundred fifty years after the founding of democracy in the United States’, the story is far from finished. We know that the Signers of the Constitution didn’t include all of us when they penned the words “We the People.” Yet we, the people of our multiracial democracy, have always believed in more.
It is now that we must take up the unfulfilled promise of the nation, and redesign our country to truly see and serve all.
We will gather to advance a nation that works for all of us.
Conferences often convene people to primarily listen to panels, perspectives, and ideas. PolicyLink Summit 2026 is also being designed for co-creation.
Together, we will unpack bold aspirations promised in our Constitution and connect them to everyday realities for our communities. We will identify the most powerful levers for change, from policy and governance to culture, leadership, and operations.
Across Summit, parallel cohorts will focus on issues such as housing, water, infrastructure, business, culture, philanthropy, and government at all levels. These strands of work will be woven into a coherent Governing for All Blueprint: one that reflects both the urgency of this moment and the practical realities of legal, regulatory, and structural reform.
By week’s end, you will not just understand the direction. You’ll have helped define it, and know where you fit in moving it forward. And we will do it the way we always have - through an unforgettable experience of building community, sharing wisdom, and being lifted by joy.
We are the founders of what comes next.
Together, we will accept the invitation to advance a nation that works for all of us. Throughout our nation’s history, it has always been people joining together that pushed this nation toward its highest ideals. Now, it is our turn. We invite you to join us as founders of a future that has not yet existed, but is ours to create: a nation that truly governs for us all.
